So, we talked to Luke who told us all about his business Zen Bears.
Tell us a bit about your company, its background and your products?
My name is Luke and I founded Zen Bears in 2019 with the simple goal of creating an easy, fun and tasty way for consumers to ingest the highly beneficial CBD (cannabidiol) compound on the go.
At the time there were only a handful of CBD gummies available on the UK market and not a single one was manufactured in the UK, nor did the companies provide third party lab-reports ensuring the products contained the advertised and legal levels of cannabinoids.
So, I set out to create the UK’s favourite CBD bears to the highest-specifications possible, in a nutshell:
● ZenBears CBD gummies are manufactured in the UK where each bear is pharmaceutically coated with 20mg of broad-spectrum CBD.
● The CBD is extracted in an ISO-certified facility using C02 from hemp grown using organic farming practices in Oregon, U.S.A
● Vegan-friendly, THC-free and environmentally friendly coming in recyclable glass pots.
● Third-party lab reports confirming levels of CBD and THC are available by batch number on the Zen Bears website.
● 4.7-star rating from more than 100 verified buyers.
● There are 30 Zen Bears per pot, providing users with a total of 600 mg of CBD.
Our offices are based in the coastal town of Poole, Dorset with our manufacturing facility located in the North of England, near Manchester.
How many people work for the business and who do you sell to?
We currently have 5 full-time employees, and we sell directly to the UK public from our online store and at the time of writing are currently available in 15 stores across the UK.
Is there a specific product you are particularly proud of and why?
We are a single product brand, focusing all our resources and expertise on creating the UK’s highest-spec, vegan-friendly CBD gummy bears.
What do you most enjoy about running your business?
The best part of my day is reviewing customer testimonials as they come in on our website and third-party review platforms such as Trustpilot.
Witnessing first-hand the various effects CBD (cannabidiol) can have on people's lives motivates me not only to create awareness about this magnificent and life-changing compound but to cold-call and outreach as many retailers as I can to get our super-charged CBD gummies in front of as many human lives as possible.
What are your ambitions for your company?
My ambition is to have pots of Zen Bears CBD gummies available on the shelves of all our nation’s leading pharmacies and health stores, giving UK consumers easy access to their favourite CBD bears.
We have gone above and beyond to manufacture the highest-quality, UK-made CBD gummies product on the market.
What do you enjoy doing during your spare time?
In my spare time I have 2 young children so they keep me busy. Outside of the family life I cycle with the other business partners of Zen Bears and keep my ear to the ground for new and interesting products and markets.
